This Sunday set the Farm Mobbing season off to a great start! We enjoyed the perfectly balmy weather alongside Tony and Dela of Scotch Hill Farm. A huge thanks to them for sharing their time and wisdom with us, and to the fun group of Mobbers that joined us.
Those who are new to Farm Mobbing are quick to ask "But what do you do on the farms?" To give you an idea of the huge variety of tasks that we help with, here are some of the things we did at Scotch Hill:
- picked and bunched radishes
- weeded
- harvested beans
- mowed, raked, tilled, and spread compost to prepare a bed for replanting
- put together the bones of a hoop house - this is where the power tools came in.
This Farm Mob was a definite success! To get involved in future ones, check out the "Sign me up!" tab above.
